In a bid to encourage passengers to bring only hand luggage Ryanair announced that they would be increasing baggage check in charges this week.
In a statement Ryanair said: "Ryanair encourages passengers to avoid these charges altogether by travelling with our 10 kg hand luggage allowance and checking in online".
From May 5 all passengers who pre-book baggage they want to check in will be charged 10 euros.

Ryanair take every opportunity to increase revenue from small print add ons. Reminds me of Gordon Browns stealth taxes.
