Ex-Police Officer Farina Arrested on Gun Charges

Actor Dennis Farina, perhaps best known for his part as New York detective Joe Fontana in the popular television series 'Law and Order' was arrested at Los Angeles international airport yesterday for carrying a concealed weapon as he boarded an aircraft.

The 64 year old ex-Chicago Police officers told the arresting officers that he had simply forgotten that he was carrying the loaded .22 caliber hand gun which was found in his hand luggage.

His new film, 'What Happens in Vegas' opened in cinemas this weekend.
